Fortnite developers went on a two-week vacation
Epic Games closed its office for the period from June 24 to July 8 – all employees received unplanned two-week leave. This is due to a recent investigation by Polygon, where it turned out that the Fortnite development team suffers from overwork.
In a comment for Polygon, a representative of Epic Games clarified that Fortnite will continue to receive updates during this period, but the company will not hold cybersports events. A leading expert in the field of animation Epic Games Jay Hosselt also said that the studio staff over the two-week break will receive all the holidays due to them.
Usually, the entire office of Epic Games goes on vacation once a year – on New Year’s holidays. The studio for the first time took a two-week break in the summer.
